Lysie, it is so funny that each week when I turn on the TV for 24 it has NOT been on since the prior show. Our power goes out all the time here.. ever so briefly but I guess long enough that I have to redo the language, set channels etc for TV. I have learned my lesson & turn it on a half hour ahead of time for all this set up stuff.
yes, it is fast.. I am not too good at the freeping along the way but still have a lot of questions as I have yet to see the earlier seasons. I have a couple years on DVD, haven't watched them yet

You're not gonna believe this. I fell asleep 20 minutes before it started and slept through the whole episode. DOH!

I was just asked on another website how old I was. It was a poll they were taking of members to get a feel for the demographics. It turns out most of us are in our 30's or 40's. Asked what their first vivid memory was, one mentioned the death of Marilyn Monroe. My first vivid memory, which I'll never forget, is Nixon resigning. If anybody was ever railroaded out of office, it was him. I didn't say this on the other website, because it tries to stay apolitical, but the RATS had their bullseye's trained on Richard Milhous Nixon the day he proved Alger Hiss was a traitor.
Just needed to vent a little...

My fist vivid memory was the birth of my next sister, when I was almost 2. My first memory of political events was the Hungarian uprising in 56 and the re-election of Eisenhower that same year.

When I was a young policeman, I got to meet Jerry Lee Lewis up front and personal, arrested him when he passed out of of his piano stool in concert, drunk as a skunk....

Good morning! I slept so soundly (clear conscience?) that for once, I did not hear the roar of the garbage truck this Tuesday morning!
But your SHOUT to "Wake UP" traveled clear to NC.
(Note to self: eat deer burgers for super energy.)

Good morning, a tad cloudy here this morning, might rain, might not, you know how weather folks are, covers all slides.
How are you this morning..
To: Carolinamom
IF the rain holds off, I am going to do some yard work, gotta haul in some dirt, got me two dirt piles way in the back and am always decreasing the size of the pile.

I have eaten my share of coons, use to hunt them all the time, bar-b que that rascal and wow, make you want to slap your mama. At one time I had some coon dogs that were second to none, Pete and Repeat, ahhhh, the good ole days.
I have been busting up the garden, rowing it up, and now plotting it out. I am going to plant some corn in my second garden plot, some good sweet corn, in that patch I will have two rows of watermelons too. Going to talk to my neighbor this afternoon on how to plant some upside down tomatoes, epically some salad tomatoes.
I am sad to say that my seen man has NOT got grit seeds in yet, why in another month it will be too late to plant them. I have yet to go a year with fresh grits.
I have GOT to remember to turn the fence off before going into the garden, last thing I want is getting zapped.
