2 Georgia Men Survive Suicide Attempt After Cutting Own Arms Off With Saw Friday, March 09, 2007 ATLANTA — Two Georgia men survived a gruesome suicide attempt Friday after cutting their own arms off with a saw, reported Atlanta's Journal Constitution. The 40 and 41-year-old men managed to remove three of their four arms, cutting them about six inches above their wrists, Atlanta Police Major Lane Hagin told the Journal. The men left a suicide note with the manager of their apartment building saying they were killing themselves because they were recently diagnosed with HIV and their business had failed, according to police. The men are in stable condition at a local hospital and will undergo psychiatric tests, a police spokesman said.

They certainly chose an unconventional way to do this. Extremely bloody, and they both are HIV positive ... biohazard. Either they had dementia as a result of AIDS, or they were trying to infect others, imho.

Just great. They should have let them bleed out and get their wish. These geniuses not only failed in everything at life (and death), but their suicide attempt exposed countless individuals (emergency personnel, nurses, doctors, etc) to HIV. Forget for a moment the inevitable decade of state-supplied medical care, disability payments, and AIDS drugs - imagine what other results of their reckless stupidity these two morons are going to foist upon the rest of society.
The sole positive thing to all of this is that, by the sounds of things, these two (would-be drowners in the fountain of stupidity) did not, and will not, infect the gene pool with their apparently error-ridden DNA, nor will they directly contribute to the socially backward upbringing of future air-wasters.

Sad story, these two sound like they were in quite deep depression when they attempted it. I am glad they are ok and able to make peace with God before death, I would hope for the same opportunity.
