Kitty can get beserk. My poor kitty slashed at me shortly after arriving in my new home. My hand's almost healed from all those sharp claw wounds... Beware The Wrath Of Cat!

And this was in pre-hip hop days.

So you found Black Sabbath, The Misfits, Samhain and death metal bands in her record collection? ;-)

Thankfully, my cats are all too fat, lazy and stupid to attack anyone.

I've had two cats exhibit behavior that (in a dog) would be considered protective.

Of course, one of them was a ferel cat and he was, at best, unpredictible. The only human he trusted was myself and it did not do for him to misinterpret your intentions. He wasn't exactly cuddly.

My current male tuxedo cat is very sweet and cuddly with the family, but he did considerable damage to a door to door salesman that was irritating me.

We once adopted a cat after the owners had moved away and left him. He soon nipped me in the hand between my thumb and first finger, ended up in ER on IV for 8 hrs. Two weeks later, husband ended up in ER with nip to the exact same place. Apparently, in Kitty Kombat School, they teach which spot to attack to get the house to yourself for 8 hrs. The docs told us that kitty bites are nothing to take lightly.

It gave new insight as to why the neighbors had moved sans kitty, but he turned out to be one of our best cats ever. He chased the dogs and herded them, and they listened right up with no argument. After some years, he became indignant when we acquired some other kitties (also rescues), so he packed up and moved next door to live out his life.

Bring another cat around here again, and you will die, monkeyspawn.

We have had many cats over the years; and some of them have been caught looking at us as if to say, "IF ONLY I JUST WEIGHED TEN TIMES MORE THAN I DO NOW!"

Fifty years ago I was attacked by my own housecat. I still have scars. However, I outlived the beast. For that matter my scars outlived the beast.

Adorable!

Now those are some diabolical kitties. And if I had some land to keep them on I would love a few, plus their nemesis DOGS :-)

I know how you feel. I can't have them where I'm living now, so the next best thing, I enjoy feeding the birds 'n squirrels and an assortment of other critters that wander through the back yard. Gotta love thise critters.
