A California judge has ordered a teenage mother in Visalia to stand trial on a murder charge for allegedly killing her infant daughter by spraying her face with Lysol to stop her from crying.
Detectives testified Monday in Tulare County Superior Court that Shyla Chapman told investigators she was frustrated her 4-month-old daughter wouldn't stop crying and sprayed the cleaner into her face.
Chapman said she was upset that no one helped her care for the baby and was seeking psychiatric help after giving birth.
Chapman is scheduled to be arraigned on March 19 on charges of first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
A monster who in a just world would have her tubes tied befor life without parole. Or executed, but that will never happen.
I wonder how old Shyla is. Maybe she should have been out working a job instead of just screwing around.
People shouldn't have babies when they're incapable of caring for them.
Poor Shyla will probably be put into a mental health program and get a slap on the wrist for murdering her baby.
She killed her baby.
There should be a harsh consequence for that.
LOL!
You can thank abortion for all of this. Babies left in dumpsters, on streets, child porn, partial-birth abortion, sex offenders....all of this comes from that stupid Roe vs Wade ruling. Roe vs Wade is the broken-window effect of abortion. Once feminists argued that fetuses are nothing more than blobs of tissue, all life has become devalued and cheapened. None of these things existed until the Supremes used their magical powers to discover a right to privacy.
I agree with you. We have devalued life and parenthood. The article calls her a teenager. She was 19. She's young, but she's not some little kid who had a baby. Young women become pregnant and they are given free pre-natal care and welfare after the babies are born. They have no responsibility for themselves, so why should they feel they should be responsible for the child after it's born?
I know plenty of families that would have been glad to take this baby girl. Why didn't she give her up???
Upset because no one helped her. I'll help her. I'll flip the switch on the electric chair, how's that for help??
She should have been told this when she gave birth.
