I've been thinking this through. IF it's true ANS was refusing Daniel's calls (and HKS wasn't doing the deed to stop him) and ANS kicked Daniel out of the house, etc... then I don't get that she would suddenly be so bereft that she would want to die or kill herself.
I'm not certain I'm clear where my thinking is going, but if you believe one story it's hard to believe the other story and vis-versa.

Guilt? I don't buy it however, there are numerous examples of HKS isolating ANS from others.
