If Anna had gastric bypass surgery, IF, it would probably have been difficult for her to eat an omelet. My mom had gp and greasy foods make her very sick. It affects different people differently, but i'm just putting it out there. And of course, someone who had gastric bypass recently could hardly eat an entire omelette. But i don't know how long food stays in the stomach of someone with a gastric bypass. i.e. does it digest faster than someone without gp?
Anna has been thin again since 2004. So surgery must have been done late 2003 or early 2004. Depending on what procedure she had the pouch may have stretched out. That could be why she was complaining about gaining weight. Also remember her eating all the birthday cake. If she did have the surgery the effects had probably worn off. Not sure about the grease aspect but I do know you are right.

I sorta don't go for her having GB. She loved to eat too much and had her backup drug supply to help her appetite. SHe could have had it, but I am leaning to not.
I'm just catching up..but is it possible Anna was Bulimic and purged her food after she ate?
Or, she abused "laxatives", which might account for her talking about her constant bowel movements..
