GRRRR I want to slap him. He used to slag off bands and guitarists that squandered their talent...now the shoe is on the other foot.
He's survived cancer....his son Wolfgang is following in his musical footsteps...he could make a mint with a reunion tour...yet he can't put the #!$#!$@ bottle down.
I love how he says his tongue cancer had nothing to do with his nearly 40 year 3-4 pack a day habit. I did a meet and greet with Van Halen and have met Eddie twice...he was awesomely cool believe it or not with Gary Cherone during the Van Halen 3 tour...he was sober..friendly...and coherent. When I got to rub elbows with him again during the Hagar reunion tour...he was drenched in wine...he walked around with a jug of it as a matter of fact.
His solo was the worst I have ever heard him perform and he was laying down on the stage for 20% of the show...he was tapped out.
