Exploding beer keg shakes Adair

ADAIR, Okla. A beer keg left on a patio fire pit in the eastern Oklahoma town of Adair exploded with the blast heard for miles.

Police say no one was hurt but windows were broken in three homes and bricks from the pit were thrown a block-and-a-half away.

Police Chief Albert McKee says two people put the old keg on the fire to watch beer spew out when it got hot. But they gave up and went inside before the explosion.

McKee says it's a good thing they went inside because the blast could've killed them.

Bunch of friggen amatures.

Regular Darwin Award material I tell you.

Any brewer will tell you; boil the beer THEN put it in the keg.

I am taking bets, was it;

  1. Coors or Coors Lite
  2. Bud or Bud Lite
  3. Miller or Miller Lite
  4. Bubbly urine colored water with a taste of hops.( 1, 2 ,3 combo)
  5. None of the above.
On or off the Homebrewers Ping List, let me know.

Cheers,

A bunch of us guys filled a pony keg w/Tannerite.
Then we put in the ground with only about 4" on the top exposed.
Took turns at ~100yards w/a 7mm, iron sights.
It was expensive but what a hoot!
