Howard Dean Demands GOP Candidates Denounce Ann Coulter for Referring to John Edwards as a 'Faggot'
Please read some of the reply posts contained within the above link.
We all hear the complaints of how Libs stereotype and exaggerate the belief models of the GOP. Each of the complaints are justified due to the self-serving nature in which they're presented by different individuals imop (i.e. Sharpton, Jackson, Gore, Clintons, Dean etc).
Understanding the attention this forum carries and willingness of the MSM to stereotype, it really makes a person wonder "why these posts"?
It's well known Coulter is a loose-cannon who's not the most likeable person on the street. Sure, from time to time she may say things that we all wish we could say about a topic. Too many of those times they're comments that are intended to cut deep, undercut pride or reduce a person's dignity. In hindsight, we realize that by holding our tongue a mistake wasn't made with those comments. Disagreements are made through detail and facts, not over-the-top personal attacks.
We also hear/understand the remarks about Libs dividing the country, but no one works harder at it than Coulter.
Give a moment of reflection during the Hillary Clinton 2008 Acceptance Speech ... and think about the persons' who will reap the financial and media exposure benefits the most from her victory.
Same shoe, different foot.
I really don't care one way or the other. Saves me from having to pander or whine.
Perhaps once, but not any more.
Today, it's all about how loud you can scream and how much you can fire up your mindless mob.
Discourse is dead. In fact, the mob sees negotiation as a sign of weakness. Nobody cares about finding common ground---everyone just wants to win.
We are in a post-political age.
sooooooo it's okay for the GOP image that Coulter say these things?
I'll denounce Coulter when the left denounces Clinton, Dean, Gore, Pelosi, Ried, Murtha, .... etc.
Skeletor is free to be as infantile, divisive, and utimately destructive to the conservative cause as she wants to be. How's that?
Um, yeah, it's ok with me. :)
So which is your argument here?
1. They did it first, so there! or
2. We're no better than they are.
Just curious.
This a funny joke. Is it a little crass? Yes but still funny. I bet Dennis Miller wishes he had thought of it.
No one cares what Coulter thinks. Her loyal audience is a miniscule percent of the population, and those who do listen know she's a loose cannon. In other words: zero credibility.
She just a columnist spouting her opinion, no different in impact than a Broder.

Turnabout is fair play. They've been using name calling for decades, and I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist when Ann goes a little overboard. The fact of the matter is, if you read the complete statement Ann made, she didn't actually call Edwards anything.
Coulter's style has its place in the national discourse. It is a legitimate, effective, time-honored style that predates the Republic. No style is more effective at unmasking trolls masquerading as conservatives.
Ones own opinion is exactly what Ann is representing. She is not a spokesman for the GOP, FreeRepublic, or any other conservative organization. She speaks for Ann, and as such can say whatever she wants, with no expectation of official reprimand.
However, personal attacks from the left are made by officials of those organizations. As such the organization bears responsibility for the statements.
Are you really this F'ing stupid? STFU nooooob.
You find that frightening? How about the "thought process" that people need to be reeducated in rehab for using a word that is offensive to people. Joy Behar of The View flat out called George Bush a murderer the other day. That doesn't mean she needs to go into rehab over it.
Ann's comments were surely made to stir up the media to show the contrast.
You know, this often happens on here. People who don't have anything meaningful to say often cast aspersions by intoning "that speaks volumes" like that's so meaningful and profound a thing to say.
It's really meaningLESS, if it didn't "say" anything, why would I have written it?
I just said it spoke for me. Let me write it slowly for you, so you can understand.
What she says, not every single word out of her mouth or from her pen, but for the most part, is fine with me. More needs to be said, and strongly. We as a nation and a people are being strangled by the mealy mouthed PC crowd.
Even those on the PC Right. So she could be gentler, so what? It needs saying.
That doesn't make me bad, that just means I'm different than you. (oh the HORROR!) Many are different than you and that's probably not a bad thing at all.
:)
