Back in the late 50's I was at Lackland for my basic, went to Alaska from there.
I have met so many who did their basic at Lackland. My husband did his at Ft. Bliss. Then Ft. Hood. 2nd Armored Division. Same division my father was in during WWII. Hell on Wheels. Division is no more. But I have the patches still.
