Even if she won the primary she will never, ever, ever be President!!

OH! How wish those words were true, stopem. Unfortunately, depending on who we have to oppose her if she does make it to the ballot, she has approximately a 50-50 chance. 40+% of the electorate will vote for her because she is a CRAT. They would vote for the CRAT on the ballot if it was the infamous 'yellow dog', a chimpanzee, a reincarnated Hitler, a mosquito, or even a banana plant. And 40+% will vote for our Republican candidate. That leaves the 20+-% that are VERY A-political that we MUST win over or our next Commander in Chief is going to be the wicked witch, Obama Hussein Osama bin Laden, or a dark horse from the CRAT or even possibly a mosquito.

Oh yea! for the water. And am so glad you considered using the suggestion. Many think it silly. But my Mother understood. I was the middle child...the problem child..the daughter who always dragged stray, hurt animals home. I am 60 now and still doing it. Have a rescue in one spare bedroom at this very moment.

My D does this with strays thus, I am right in the middle of it, we have four dogs and 15 chickens and the dogs do not harm the chickens at all, they were raised up with them. We have a full grown German Shepard and when I got the chicks I put them is a small pen so they would not 'escape'. The dog would sit at the pen and watch the chicks, if one got out she would herd it back to the pen, we think she adopted them and made the other dogs walk the line.

Oh, I kid her about Jason, the foster child she and hubby got, I call him 'my little stray child'..

I don't see anyone beating her. She's got the best campaign personnel in the US. The 'Pubs are very weak this outing.

However, I know a lot of female Democrats who will not vote for her even if running against an obnoxious 'Pub

What a wonderful story! I had the pleasure of meeting the dog who was the recepient of the pacemaker. He is a beautiful, big ol' yellow lab. He lives on a farm outside of San Antonio, where I live. I talked recently to his "primary caretakers"...Over two years since he was given the pacemaker, he is again chasing sticks, aggravating the sheep and helping to drive in the cows. Mama would be pleased. She was a farm girl herself. :-)

My grandmother had a mutt named Shep. She raised chickens outside the small town I was raised in. To sell the eggs. As dusk fell, Grandma would tell Shep to put the chickens up...He herded them all in..would come sit and give her a huge smile....she would ask him..Did you get them all..off he would go..laughing out loud..running around the chicken house to make sure...back he would come...another huge grin..Grandma would shut the door to the hen house...Feed Shep...all was right with the world.

The reason we can have the pets in numbers is because we live on a farm north of Gulfport, MS. We have horses as well and the deer come close to the fence and I think it is just to bug the dogs, they go wild when they smell or see one.

Your life sounds wonderful. I was raised with horses. My other grandmother, paternal one, was a horsewoman. Successful in a man's world. She taught me to ride English. Starting when I was three. I now have a four year old grandson. I cannot imagine him sitting a huge beast like that and riding as I did. Hopefully, when husband retires, he can take this country girl back to where she belongs. Tho I do love San Antonio. Your stories make me "homesick" for the country. And the beasts.

I have met so many who did their basic at Lackland. My husband did his at Ft. Bliss. Then Ft. Hood. 2nd Armored Division. Same division my father was in during WWII. Hell on Wheels. Division is no more. But I have the patches still.
