Now, what will ham radio be like in 50 years? IMHO? Dead. There will be no need for amateur radio. We are getting there pretty fast already. 50 years? Not a chance it will survive.

There will be a tiny group that will hide from their masters.
They will have a barter culture as all finances can only be done through an implant.
They will be reviled as they will not be PC!
It will be closer than 50 years.

There will be no need for amateur radio. That's what they said before Katrina, Wilma, Andrew, etc etc.
People have been predicting the demise of HAM for a long time and they've been wrong every time.
