Certainly the head of Skunk Works should know.
But realizing that takes in SG-1 . . . is kind of mind boggling.
Even the stuff that is cutting edge is 25 years old. I remember in 1989 the Atlanta paper ran an article on the battle going on between Northrop and Lockheed to decide who would build the next generation fighter. There was a picture of the F-22 in the Atlanta paper next to the article. Since there was a prototype in 89' then the basic technolgy had to be 7-8 years old at the time.
The Altanta paper ran a story on it because if the Lockheed variant won out it would mean jobs for the Atlanta area.
