Meanwhile I have decided to give up listening to or reading your gibberish for Lent.
Sound scientific means, for one thing . . .
that when a scientific measurement is taken
something
is either there
or it isn't there
or it's partially there.
Then one gets into levels of significance testing to see if the measurements are likely due to chance or way beyond chance.
But that's probably complex enough for this lesson.
Resting for lent is probably very advisable after so much brain work.
