Maple syrup good. Corn syrup bad.
I like olive oil. Olive oil is very good for you too.
The North American Maple Syrup Council (subsidiary of the NAU) NGO Public-Private Partnership coming to take our sovereignty away ping.
I can't stand pancakes but I do like my grits with butter and real syrup, YUM!!!!

There are other American & Canadian maple syrup producing states & provinces.
Maple syrup is made from the boiled concentrated sap of the sugar maple. Each mature tree can yield between 5 and 60 gallons of sap each year. Making 1 gallon of syrup requires from 30 to 50 gallons of sap.
Sugar maples are generally at least 30 years old and 12 inches in diameter before being tapped. Larger trees can support several taps. Tapping does not permanently damage the tree. Only about 10% of the tree's sap is collected per year.
Harris Teeter here was out of them!
So we went to a grill & oyster bar over in Tarboro.
When we arrived there were a lot of people on the raw bar side of the place and my wife asked if it was a party. Owner said, yes, it's a birthday party, but there are extra seats, so if you don't mind the noise, you can go in.
When we were just about done the "birthday boy" came over, thanked us for putting up with his noise, and told the owner to put our bill on his tab!
Can't beat that, huh?
I love maple syrup beer, and not just as something I put on pancakes, but as an all-around condiment and flavoring. I've placed it in chili, barbeque sauce, and pie crusts. Its versatility as a supplement to, or substitute for sugar, is completely under-rated. I hail maple syrup beer! Keep away from children.
Wow, what nice thing for him to do.
We went through another 1/2 bushel Friday night. These were from Apalachicola Fla, and were good but not as good as the the ones we had earlier in the week from the Chesapeake Bay.
Anyway, it's a nice saltwater fix during the "off season".
Sounds like some good finger pickin and foot stompin!
I knew you would appreciate that.
That band played at my wedding after-rehearsal party about 10 years ago. They're really a fine bunch of guys.
Interesting that the brand has the perception of being "weak(er)." "Champagne of beers," and all that.
But now that I think about it, champagne (generally) has a high(er) alcohol content also.
I never thought about using it for a sugar substitute. Interesting article!
Just use the real stuff, as mentioned elsewhere on the thread.
Hey, I think the blond on the far left is John Edwards.
Thanks! ;o) I've already got the real stuff! I just never thought about it being a substitute for sugar.
How can we even think of talking about Rudy when millions of illegal immigrants are here trying to steal all our maple syrup?

The proof is in the hair. How much time did he spend lookin' in the mirror?
