I look forward to your write-up of Mockingbird. Both the book and movie are favorites of mine.
The first time I read it, in ninth grade English, I had a teacher who required us to read a chapter a night, and gave us a brief quiz each day. I'm not a fan of that approach, but Mrs. Greiff was such a great teacher in every other way that it didn't bother me much.
The night I was supposed to read the chapter with the beginning of Tom Robinson's trial, I finished the book. I was definitely dragging the next day, but I just couldn't put it down.
