With my oldest daughter I would sneak outside and get their plate number Very smart. :-)I still make the ones who are living home call if they aren't coming home or will be late.
We did the same with our older ones too. That's a wise thing to do in this day and age no matter their ages.

I have started to talk with the 7 yr old about the choices she makes with her friends. I had her at 41 yrs old so theres 20 yrs between the 1st and last child. I am trying to get her to understand not to put her trust into friends easily. My husband thinks I am nuts. But after going through so much with the older ones I want this child to realize that its ok to be different and not to have to have what her friends have. So far she has been great. She doesn't ask to have the belly showing shirts or makeup, or streaks in her hair. I am just so disgusted with the way some parents are allowing their children to grow up so fast. Make up & hair streaking won't be allowed in my house for a long time. Children need the time to be children and I don't find the need to push her into being a mini adult. Her little friend just got a pair of $200 boots. I asked her if she wanted them and she said oh no they aren't even pretty. Hopefully she will stay a sweet child for awhile.
