Happy 54th birthday, sionnsar.

My wife's birthday is coming soon.

What do you give a wife who has everything and none of it is paid for?

Upthread I read about organic foods.

It reminded me of this story on Yahoo.

USDA admits skipped meat plant checks for 30 years

By Charles Abbott2 hours, 20 minutes ago

For three decades, U.S. inspectors visited 250 meat processing plants as rarely as once every two weeks despite federal law requiring daily inspection, Agriculture Department officials admitted to lawmakers on Thursday.

"All I can say is, it's been going on for a long time," said Undersecretary Richard Raymond to the House Appropriations subcommittee on agriculture. "It's going to stop now."

Now, regarding organic fruits and vegetables...

Tomatoes years ago used to be called tomatoes.

But then came the advent of pesticides and genetic engineering, and they were still called tomatoes.

Then someone had the bright ideas of omitting the artificialization with which he was growing his tomatoes, and go back to the way tomatoes used to be grown, but he couldn't call them tomatoes since they had no pesticides. So he decided to call them organic tomatoes and charge double the price, the nitwit.

And that's how tomatoes changed their names from tomatoes to organic tomatoes.
