It's not the commute that kills me....I live .9 miles from work, it's all the other running around I have to do. I suppose the smart thing would be to fill up once a week...but I don't like to go to the gas station any more than I have to--It's very depressing.
My little truck takes $26 to fill at 1/4 of a tank. I was making four trips a month to Henderson to get my mail. It was a 35 mile round trip, if I didn't have any other stops to make.
I'm REALLY glad I only have to go a mile, now! LOL!
I think if I lived as close to work as you do, I'd walk as often as I could. Just because I like to walk!
