Post #323 is the first time I ever saw the word "spiffily" written, at least as far as I can recall.

I've spoken it quite often, but never seen it in print.

Actually, it was I who first used "pat_my_bottom" in reference to Pax.

Eaker did use the phrase first however.

He said it very sweetly on the occasion when he shook hands with Sheila Jackson Lee.

She didn't comply.

My Sweater

I had a favorite sweater. I wore it near and far.
I’d hang it on my seat-back. I’d keep it in the car.
I wore it while out eating. I wore it when it rained.
I had to keep it laundered for it kept on getting stained.

I’d put it in the washer, then stretch it out to dry.
I often just paced back and forth to wear it by and by.
I’ll bet you know what’s coming, and where my sweater went.
One day inside the drier, I gave it up for lint.
