Thank you, Captain obvious! :P

While the topic is screen names:

My forum name was taken from this adult beverage, not the comic actor, who I had never heard of in 1998 when I joined FR.
Where I drank a "Jack Black" order got you a shot of this stuff.

That's about half our crew -- and about half the area to be graveled. The delivery truck unfortunately came in the exit which is fairly steep (coming up from the road, over where the fellow on the left is), so he dumped a lot of gravel down low and not up in the lot.

Happy St Patricks Day!
I've been spring cleaning. It's a nice day, and the balcony outside our bedroom was in serious need.
I do think taking Q-tips to the door sliders was maybe a bit extreme, but the doors slide much better now!

Oh, yeah. While they claim it hasn't changed at all, it has. Used to be your basic bottle was a 1/5th of a gallon of 90 proof. Now you get 750ml of 80 proof. Like many good conservative traditions it's been watered down by over-regulation and liberal thinking.
I rarely drink it now a days.
To: Jack Black
I got sick on that stuff once...I've never been able to get near a dark drink since. So I stick with vodka and gin.
And as for the "other" Jack Black, for all I know, he's an imposter!

I always used Vaseline for the door and window sliders. That or just plain ol' bar soap. But I did my share of cleaning today, too!

I have a can of lubricant that I sprayed on them, but first I had to gouge out a couple years' worth of dirt. :-)

It looks like it might start raining here, too.
That's okay, I got all my outdoor chores finished. Including cutting up a four month old Christmas tree.
Don't ask.

Most spray lubricants aren't heavy enough for the sliding doors. Or at least, not in the long run. Bar soap is good, because it just goes on the runners, and doesn't attract more debris.

We have recurring nests. The little scamps come back every year, and build their hives WAY up under the second floor rafters where I can't reach them.
We got some hornet traps that do a great job catching the stupid ones. (The smarter ones know better than to fly inside it.)
I have some hornet spray, but they're so high I'd probably just end up spraying myself. I'm thinking power washer and run like heck.
