It just so happens that I have a book of Gnomes that was an original effort back in 1970-something. It's a history of the Gnome, and I like to read every so often, just marvel in the artwork.

I had one on fairies that came out about the same time, but I gave that one to my daughter. She has a houseful of fairies, now.

But I love the Gnome book. It's such a fun book, with all the clever things used to make them seem real.

I wonder what it's worth now? I don't know if it ever had a second printing.

Boy, do we ever think alike! I had the Fairy book also.

I let mine go at a sale. My daughter was so disappointed in the ugly fairies -she has not liked them since. LOL

Some of them are very pretty -well the ones with the pointed ears are kinda odd.

My daughter doesn't care...if it's a fairy, it's in her house, in one form or another. The money she has spent on them in the last year would pay all my living expenses for three months.
