What Windows? If'n you can get to the Control Panel and find the "Printers" selection, all you need to do is right click on a printer and set it to default.
I have Windows 2000 and just have to go to the start button, then settings then printers.

It's not working. :-(
It's supposedly set on default when I go there but when I click to print, the other printer is still coming up as the default.

What application are you printing from? Certain apps will override Windows defaults. Did you try selecting the printer from within the app?

I can select the right printer but don't know why the other one keeps popping up as the default when, according to the printer file, it isn't the default printer. Maybe I need to re-boot. That's usually how things get fixed. As they say in Canada, when in doot, re-boot.

No one quoted Billy Idol. We needed you in here to do that. LOL!
Get well soon.
