What suicide bomber? Is there a story?

BAGRAM, Afghanistan — A homicide bomber killed and wounded two dozen people outside the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday during a visit by U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. The Taliban claimed responsibility and said Cheney was the target.

The blast happened outside the base at Bagram, north of the capital Kabul. Cheney's spokeswoman said he was fine, and the U.S. Embassy said the vice president later met with President Hamid Karzai in Kabul.

Mozie, I'll be thinking of you and praying this morning for you. Cardiology has certainly come a long way...for instance, several years ago, the doctors for my brother (who had been through basic training and a year of combat in Vietnam) discovered he had a hole in his heart, a congenital defect and not a combat injury.

The surgeons used instruments to go through a leg vein up to the heart and repaired it! I understand now that it's a standard procedure, but I'll never understand how they can do such wondrous things!
