PHILADELPHIA - Quarterback A.J. Feeley and the Eagles agreed on a three-year contract extension Sunday, nearly eliminating the chance that Jeff Garcia will return to Philadelphia.

Feeley's new deal runs through 2010. Garcia, who helped the Eagles win the NFC East title and a playoff game after Donovan McNabb was injured, will become a free agent on Friday.

Texans could use him until they can groom the next QB (maybe Kolb in the draft).

Philadelphia sports teams never learn.

Let one player, and his family call the shots and this is what you get.

Jeff Garcia saved not only a season, but the Eagles reputation.

This was engineered by Donnie Mac, and his family, who felt threatened by a QB who might actually come in next year in game four and win a division when McNabb goes down with a hangnail.

You made me realize the Cowboys have no backup QB! I can't see them paying Garcia, and drafting someone would make Romo nervous. I suppose they'll go for a career back up or sign a rookie free agent that has no hope... like the kind of player Romo was supposed to be.

Nothing like a paranoic sports fans attributing powers where they are not.

Any belief that McNabb's family has ANY power over the Eagles is a scream. "No Soup for you!" So is the idea that Garcia was any kind of threat to McNabb as a starter.

It would work for me...the new coach has a pretty good team nucleus to work with at this point.
