The best part of the Oscars is that these people who work in the fringes can have their night in the spotlight. Why begrudge them that? It's mostly a blue collar industry.

They just showed a clip from Letters , etc. and a glimpse of The Clint.
I must say I bitterly resent that movie. (I told you I'm mean), but I'm not ready to glorify the Japanese yet... maybe in a hundred years if they behave.
My husband worked with a WWII prisoner of war and he said the Japanese were unbelievably cruel, but added they treated their own people almost as bad as they did the prisoners.
