I live in northern Mass. near the NH border. Yesterday morning, I was still able to walk across a frozen pond in my neighborhood. This is the latest in the year this pond has stayed frozen that I can remember. Usually by mid-February, the ice is breaking up but it was 10 degrees above zero yesterday and the pond was still frozen solid with a few inches of crusty snow on top.
If this "global warming" trend continues, I'm going to have to start learning the ways of the Eskimo.
