Does it bother, puzzle, or amaze anyone else that the A.N. Smith thread has over 15k responses?

Is it just me, or do others find it remarkable and maybe just a bit troubling that a thread on Anna Nicol Smith would gather over 15,000 posts?
I just don't "get" it.

Behold the power of sleaze!
If this case were a supermarket "purple passion" paperback, it would be Number One on the list. It has all the ingredients: sex, money, power, murder, rich old man and busty stripper, greedy leech lawyer, and unfortunately, a possible murder mystery.
This is the sort of book I take to the beach in the summer. A little guilty pleasure just like the Kathleen Wooldiwiss or Diana Gabaldon tomes I used to hide from my daughter. There's alot of Ann Rule in this whole mess, too!

But it's alright for YOU to start a stupid Vanity Thread because YOU'RE po'd about it?
It's alright for YOU to solicit gossipy remarks about those who are in CHAT, not hurting anyone.
Look at your own self, zook..LOL.
You want to find me, I'm over in Chat..sw

Apparently not, I had to turn off Fox News because I cant take anymore of Anna Nicole. Not to be mean but I dont really care that she died. People die I know and it sucks but I dont need to hear about it for weeks.
To: maui_hawaii
Sorry. No. It was on TV awhile back. Family feuding was going on and there was some special. I remember thinking the old man looked happy.

Amuse.
In a sad way. The news arrived the same time as the report of the death of a 26 year old female Marine Captian helicopter pilot from Swampscott.
I never gave a fig about ANS one way or the other and still don't.

Especially rich girls with big ta-ta'sANS is an example of the big tatas to riches conversion.
Could you please start a thread about whether tatas, ta-ta's, or ta-tas is the preferred spelling?
I'm too busy in the Rudy wars.

still dead?
To: Jim Noble
I figure "ta" denotes one, and ta's means a pair, and since it is "belonging to" (ta's) would mean it is plural. ;->

Does it bother you that you posted a thread which at this time has garnered over a hundred posts while an item posted (in breaking news) concerning the war in Iraq at approx the same time as this one has less than fifty posts?
You are becoming what you have scorned. :o)
To: Admin Moderator
Is this Vanity thread considered "Breaking News"?
Shouldn't it be in Chat..if at all?
Thank you, sw
