I have never install a Fedora release, guessing (rightly as it appeared) that it was just a placeholder sop to those who were mad at Red Hat for going to their Enterprise-Only stance.
From the Overview of Fedora Core:
Fedora moves very quickly and has lots of users. As a result we see our fair share of bugs.
Fedora is supposed to be more of a bleeding edge distribution than many others and it seems strange to me to criticize it for not being perfect.
I use a number of distributions, some of which do focus more on having ease of use and lack of problems with repositories, but I don't believe that any of those can be characterized as leading edge, much less bleeding edge.
(I didn't realize it, but in looking into the particulars of this story, I found that Mr. Raymond, to his credit, is also a strong defender of our Second Amendment rights.)
