yeah, it is hard to hear. I think that if he indeed yelled "allahu ahkbar," that with all the news crews there immediately afterwards interviewing witnesses, SOMEBODY who witnessed this would have mentioned he was yelling at least "some foreign words." JMHO.

RESULTS ON LAST WORDS BY GUNMAN AT TROLLY STATION by 4butnomorethan30characters
Sulejmen Talovic opened fire in a Salt Lake City mall, killing five people before being gunned down by police. I wanted to know if his last words were "Allahu Akhbar", so I took the time to review audio from video recorded on scene. I'm presenting my personal findings for others to review. I have eliminated all portions of the audio not related to the "Allahu Akhbar" reference. I attempted to cross-reference my results against several speech recognition software titles with no success due to reverb. I did not want to compromise or alter the phrasing in any way, so I elected not to attempt any reverb elimination. That could give a false conclusion.

Conditions of review.

Software: AVS Audio Editor version 3.4

Original File: mallshooting.wma/ 48,000 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; 128 kbps

Audio Editing: Insertion of silence at beginning or endings. Normalization as industry standard. No effects, no filters, no amplification, or any other modifications.

At this point in the audio, I determined the vocals to be indistinguishable. There are similarities that could lead one to think a third attempt at the phrase was started. The audio and graphic stop at this point, as gunshots occur and mask the individuals voice.

I took the second comment as it was slightly slower and more pronounced. The audio clip I'm providing has been stretched to 70% of the original, while preserving voice pitch. This allows a slightly slower and easier to recognize tones, while retaining the original pitch quality.

This particular clip removes any doubt in my mind of the phrase spoken. The next graphic below indicates the distinct ending expected.

The above highlights the area from the "comments_full.mp3" file which represents the very distinct pronunciation for the ending of the word "Akhbar".

My Conclusion is that the phrase "Allahu Akhbar" was said two times by the perpetrator and he attempted to repeat a third time before being shot directly. I believe I've presented evidence to support my conclusion.

That it might not have been reported on the news by a witness does not mean it was not said. The media edits for their own agenda, sometimes when they coincide along with "authorities" agenda all the time...

Further it does not matter said or not...

There is an attempt here to get us to chase that rabbit and engage in endless debate over it instead of the Islamofacist Camel in the room.

The effort is to try and downplay the religious aspect of now what must be more than a 1/2 dozen such incidents..

To change the debate and focus on what was done and by whom to what was said.. as if saying "Allah Akabar" is a prerequisite to Islamofacist attack or Prima Facie evidence that it is not an Islamofacist attack..

We are being game'd and calling folks on it and they don;t like it...

Oh well, they had better get used to it as we are not stuck listening to the stooges on CNN anymore.
