Hunter supporter: Rudy's a gun-grabbing, wife-cheating, gay-lovin', baby-killing liberal! I'll never support him, and if you support him you're a liberal Rino too! The Hunter folks seem hell-bent on dividing this group. Maybe they're really D plants? :-)

The tone and language of these people (enraged, nasty, vicious, lots of name-calling) is familiar - reminiscent of the Buchanan Brigades.

That's an interesting observation, yes indeed.

Honestly, I think this is much ado about nothing. Just some folks throwing a temper tantrum. :-D

If pointing out that Rudy's stances more than anything are mostly liberal and on KEY issues is name-calling, why don't you people think of what YOU are saying about YOUR candidate! Obviously something's not right there.

I've been trying to keep up with these threads and have found probably enough unpleasantness to go around. I may have missed some of the more vitriolic threads. I am one of those who is very uncomfortable with Rudy Giuliani for a variety of reasons. If he is the nominee, I will really struggle with what to do. It is just going to be very difficult for me to vote for him, based on his position on abortion. Yes, I know the Democratic nominee is likely to have the same position. I won't be voting for that nominee, obviously, either. I don't think I am the only one who is truly having to struggle with some moral questions concerning a vote for Giuliani.

With regard to the nasty tone that some of these threads take-- please keep in mind that this thread was begun with a vanity referring to Hunter supporters as "idiotic" and warning them to stop taking hallucinogenic drugs. Might not be the best team building approach.

I noted a few people making the argument that Hunter doesn't have enough experience, that being a Representative isn't sufficient. Giuliani, on the other hand, was a mayor-- though of probably the major city in the US. Do you think it is the executive vs. the legislative role that makes the difference? Is it the size of Hunter's district vs. the massive size of NYC? One of my more mundane concerns about Giuliani is his experience, but I don't see many other posters sharing that concern. Anyway, I hope that other posters, including Giuliani supporters, can understand that some conservatives have real moral issues with Giuliani. I don't like to see those concerns dismissed with a "so you want Hillary to win, do you troll" response. I still think it is too early to declare anyone the victor.
