Lately I have been reading about how women seem to be doing most of that work. Wife and I are in need of a serious talk.

I have it even worse. My wife loves to plant garden, or at least to plan and help plant. She'd want lots of everything and not set foot in the garden for months. I've finally had to insist that she may make suggestions but I decide what and how much since I'll be the one taking care of it.

I've been through that over the years. From the wife and the children. They use to help me plant some of the garden but when it came to taking care of it and to harvest they were nowhere to be seen. They no longer have much say in what gets planted.

Do you have a large garden? I plant around 5000 square feet. Mostly tomatoes, loose leaf lettuce, radishes, onions, okra, lots of white half runner beans, hot peppers and bell peppers. It isn't profitable for me to plant potatoes and corn as I can buy it for less that I can grow them.

I am really getting a little too old for such a large garden and swear every year that I am going to cut back. Never happens. lol
