"Honey, I not only crashed the car, but I lied to you and police about it and I may go to jail. Do you still love me?"
What a wuss. He should have gone home, told his wife he wrecked her car on purpose, and ordered her to make him a pot pie.
At least that's what I would have done!
Because my wife doesn't scare me..... much.
I chose long ago not to even argue with my wife. If we argue it cuts into my beer drinking time.
COULD??
In fact, Jorge Alberto Mejia, 35, made up the entire story as part of an elaborate excuse for crashing his wife's new Ford Focus, police said.
"We're still evaluating whether we'll file any charges against him," said San Rafael police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher, noting that filing a false police report is a crime. "As far as we can tell, he was alone in the car and was not injured. In the course of our investigation, we have determined that no crime occurred."
Mejia had reported to police Saturday that two abductors had ordered him at gunpoint to drive from a San Rafael bar to Santa Rosa, where he crashed his car intentionally to escape. He provided detailed descriptions of the imagined abductors. The account was reported Sunday in the Independent Journal.
But Monday, as investigators questioned Mejia on the details of his account, he admitted he made up the tale, police said.
He told police he actually had gone to River Rock Casino in Geyserville when he accidently crashed the car he was driving - his wife's 2007 Focus - and could no longer drive it.
He made up the story because he was worried about his wife's reaction, Rohrbacher said.
San Rafael police said it was not clear where the collision occurred. Mejia apparently had been driving south on Highway 12 and was believed to be returning to Marin County when the crash occurred.
"The car was so new, it still had paper plates on it," Rohrbacher said.
Hah! What a wimp. I take he didn't win at the casino either. So he gambles on this BS story. What a loser.
The guy'll probably have to go into Rehab, sitting through Ensler's V-Monologues for sensitivity training.
Not hard to tell who runs that household.
Funny thing is, now the whole world knows what kind of wife he has.
