This is absolutely beyond belief.

Well, the NEA would approve of the method. Of course the NEA would want you to include some homosexual acts as not to bias the child against the gay lifestyle. That would be considered oppressive.

Now, if this were two schoolteachers or two homosexuals having sex in front of a nine-year-old, the libs would be defending this to the hilt.

Many years of visiting FR tells me that a serious discussion of this sort of story is impossible.
Nothing new in this thread to indicate otherwise.

A Woonsocket mother and her boyfriend are headed to trial on charges they had intercourse in front of the woman's 9-year-old daughter as a way to teach the girl about sex. Sounds like a rationalization for exhibitionism to me.

Trying to stretch my disbelief long enough to ASSUME this a valid idea, there is no way watching one's own mother engage in this sort of behavior is a good idea.
I bet a dollar this guy is a child molester who talked the mother into this and the next step was going to be "teach" the child directly about sex.

The poor girl is now probably frightened to death of sex and will feel a deep revulsion toward both her parents, and deservedly so.

You would think that the mother would have more sense. Even if not, the boyfriend should have known that this is wrong. This tells me both the mother and the boyfriend wanted this for their own selfish and demented reasons.
Since the man exposed himself to the child, there are grounds for charges right there. The mother placed her daughter in a situation where the daughter was unsafe with a naked man close to her. The potential for harm to the child far outweighed any so-called educational benefit to the child.
People who do this are not stupid or naive--they are doing it for their own selfish reasons, and now, trying to hide it under the banner of "Education".
This is depraved behavior.
