Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are disgusting.
Which is why I never watch them (except this weekend).
Extremely disgusting. My nerves are so on edge from watching all this, I want to scream. I just wanted some facts and they are few and far between!
One of the retrospectives - ET, I believe - went back to ANS's early years. They showed a few things from the early 1990s, then some shots of her dressed as Marilyn Monroe in the 7-Year Itch (the white halter dress that blows up over the steam vent in the sidewalk in NYC).
She was vamping and posing in front of a Jaguar at a party at the Playboy Mansion, celebrating the Playmate of the Year "award," which she had just won for the year 1993 - so this must have been early 1994.
After that, they showed her on a ranch dressed down in jeans and a simple haircut, long and straight, with Danny in some of the shots.
They said she "had made it big" and with her millions, she had decided to come back to her roots in Texas and buy this ranch. She was showing off her pigs, chickens and cattle. She said she had been poor before and now, she and Danny could eat anything they wanted.
Several times they emphasized that she had worked hard to become a multimillionaire!
Now, come on! She was a stripper in a men's club here in Houston and had met Howard Marshall in 1991. He had been paying her to do whatever and had given her that ranch (and she was later thrown off of it by his family), which was just a few acres, like maybe 10, and just outside of Tomball, a Houston 'burb.
She married him in June 1994 and he died in August 1995. The sheer idiocy of having them act like she made millions of dollars from Guess Jeans commercials and a Playboy cover and centerfold layout, plus Playmate of the Year is so ludicrous!
That's why we have to question every single thing they show during this aftermath, as to whether it's true or not - meaning how it applies to little Dannielynn getting a real home and family.
