I completely agree. I saw Virgie's lawyer, "Houston" making this argument. Apparently, that is her appellate argument as well. "Houston" asked Greta in what other case if a single mom died leaving behind an infant, and the single mom's parents arrived to claim their daughter's body would a court appoint a GAL to determine whether the parents should receive the body of their daughter or not?

Everything has been done backwards. The paternity of DL is key. She shouldn't need a GAL. Could LB and Virgie agree on CA though?

I appreciate all of your replies. Admittedly, I don't know the ins and outs of the court system. So it's helpful to get comments from others to even understand if my thoughts are in line with the laws of the land.
