I can't believe that Opri's attorneys didn't argue that better. They were given an opening by the judge, more than once. At one point, in answer to "what's the rush" from the judge, Opri actually answered "because I want to go home."
There was one unidentified male attorney Birkhead attorney who was sitting at the end of the table. He was trying to make the argument about why time was of the essence for Dannielynn, but the women stepped all over him.
I think the judge was talking about no rush for ANS DNA to be turned over to LBs' testing person.
As for the paternity testing, how long has this been in the courts? Stern has ignored every ruling, so far, why would he comply now? Opri and those other 2 should have made clear that Dannilynn needs to be in a stable environment. Monday, Stern may be homeless in the Bahamas. All they really said about her is that she needs to come home. The judge said, we don't know where home is. EXACTLY!!
I was surprised too they didn't argue it better--as you said there was an opening.
This baby is entitled to be with her real father and family, whoever that may be. The U.S. court system needs to be doing everything possible to accomplish this as soon as possible...if "the baby's interest" is the main concern as the judge kept saying in the previous case. The DNA test would settle it all and quickly.
I've actually cut the TV off, got so frustrated with it.
I heard that and was stunned Opri didn't state because the babies welfare is at stake. Simple, direct statement.
