I heard that Ramos had been nominated for Agent of the Year before this affair happened. Someone really needs to track down the records on this case, and the source of all these rumors pro and con. I do know that when the govt. really wants to smear somebody, they have many ways of doing it. Obviously what Ramos did to Aldrete-Davila did not merit 12 years of hard time. He must have ticked off somebody important to get that kind of prosecution.

I pretty much agree with you. I hear one thing then another so I really don't trust everything I have heard.....What I do believe is that something stinks when you take a drug dealer's word over 2 men that are guarding our borders. What is worse is that they went and found this guy and now he is suing the government. (our tax money) Maybe they didn't follow the rules but why they would get such a long sentence is hard for me to understand. IMO they should have just fired them if they were actually found guilty of not filing reports or whatever. I think this whole thing stinks. I just hope the truth comes out and soon. I hope these 2 men are in protected areas and that their families are alright. ~~P~~
