(Other songs sent in by readers at link)

The best one by far for me:

Hey, Hey, What Can I Do? - Led Zeppelin

And two of the worst:

Lucille - Kenny Rogers
Jolene - Olivia Newton John

And lastly...

Your Lyin' Eyes - The Eagles
Where exactly IS the cheating side of town, anyway?

the cheating side of town

is over there, on the other side of the tracks, where the motels charge by the hour.

Dave's winner: "Me and Mrs. Jones," by Billy Paul, which isn't much musically

Have to disagree with this - maybe it's just nostalgia, but any song that can depress you as much as this one has something going on musically.

Now that I think of it, one of my favorites in this genre: "Fell In Love With A Girl" by the White Stripes. "Bobby said it's fine, he don't consider it cheating". LOL - not sad, just really good.

"If lovin' you is wrong, I don't want to be right"
"But your body is an outlaw, stealin' from my soul. I know hell could not be worse than, not having you to hold"

Adultery, is to me, the ultimate sin. You break your vow to G-d and your spouse.

Best adultry song ever

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have got to at least get an honorable mention in there for their duet of "In Another's Eyes" which was a song about having an affair that turned out to be true and caused both of their divorces and then their marriage to each other.
