I don't know what the ratings were, but, this was the first Superbowl since 1968 that I didn't even bother to watch.

Pro sports have lost their luster (to me), with the business-aspect having taken over the competitive nature. Players no longer stay with a team long-term, but simply job-hop for the millions and there are few of them that would even qualify as role models or heroes today, with their arrogance and hip-hop/rap mentality.

You had strange timing to decide this was the year to quit watching. We had two of the classiest teams, organizations and coaches playing in the Super Bowl this year. We didn't see any "creative" touchdown celebrations and showboating last night by either team.

Secondly, the job-hopping in the NFL has as much to do with salary caps as it does player selfishness. I like the parity the salary cap has brought and the Colts have found a way to still keep their key players who have been there long-term.

The Super Bowl has crossed over from a televised football game to a week-long television show about a football game.
