Nope. The defense got em to the big dance. All Rex had to do was have a decent game. HE literally gave the colts the win.

Good eye on spotting the typo, but what about the Dead Dictator photo you started with.

I'd like to get the joke, but........

The defense stunk up the joint today in a big way. And they showed signs of deterioration late in the year, giving up 31 to Tampa and 26 to the Pack. The Bears were fortunate to stay within 30 points of the lead tonight. Even Rex in top form wouldn't have made a difference.

Gotta say I was very disappointed in the commercials. Bud came thru with a couple but the rest of them stunk.

I guess we agree to disagree.
The defense wasn't top notch tonight, but they held Manning to 15 points.........Grossman gave away the other 14.

The Bears' defense gave up 430 total yards, 191 of which were rushing yards. Total domination.

Go Raiders!!!!

Not that it has anything to do with the Super Bowl (or that it ever will again) but the faders will be sporting the number one pick in the draft for a long time to come.

Well, the first thing they'll have to do is hire a babysitter for their new coach. ;-)

Sports are meaningless. I'd rather watch kids play hopscotch.

So are politics in that context, therefore let's not engage in that Constitutional forum and let all elections and their consequences be chalk.

Sports are not meaningless. The 'handicapped' cannot play 'hopscotch.'

You have discounted the human spirit.

I know team sports have cultural importance, and perhaps even meaning... the "spirit" you mention. I merely feel this spirit is misplaced.

More frankly: I loath and resent mindless, teeming hordes of sycophants who pay money to worship dim-witted thugs who fixate upon the orchestrated movement of balls for a living.

(Believe me- if the cheerleaders were nude, then I might pay attention. I am not a fagot for not liking football.)

while I have always loved Tony Dungy, and Herman Edwards as well......I got so irritated about this constant dribble about the first black coach.....geesh...give it a rest already....we even muted some commericals out or spots where they were gearing up to tear into that again....Now we'll get the Oprah special and yada yada yada.....

seems to me that the MSM WANTED an angle...and so they beat the first black coach deal to death.......

anyone remember the first Black female figure skater for the US?.....I think her name was Debbie Thomas and all I remember about her was that she was HOUNDED literally to death with the constant " how does it feel" bit.....I am sure she knew her place in history but I always felt she wished the reporters would just go away......

Goes to show that the Colts were able to rid Payton Manning of the image of being the "Charlie Brown" of the NFL.
