Sense and Sensibility - Chick flick (but I'm a chick) Jane Austen's great characters and humorous storytelling transcend the vapid "chick flick" genre. I just consider movies made from her books to be high quality historical costume dramas - and most men should like them. ;)

Sense and Sensibility is a chick flick, but as a guy I enjoyed it anyway. Good call on the Hitchcock films, Rear Window being a favorite for me. Also good call on the film noir Third Man, I'd also add The Big Sleep.
