The first time we heard Carson Palmer dress down his own teammates was after the ninth Bengals player was arrested in nine months.
But in front of a gaggle of super bowl reporters, his frustration over the arrests of his teammates boiled over again.
Palmer, who was a finalist for the FedEx player of the year awards, was in Miami for the award ceremony. Palmer didn't win the award but sounded off during an interview afterwards.
"There's really nothing Marvin can do in the off season," said Palmer when asked of what the team will do to keep player troubles down. "He can't put a curfew on guys, he can't call guy's every single night to make sure their in bed and not running around. It's tarnished our organization and given us a bad rap and something that we're not proud of and it's something that needs to stop. From here on out guy's just need to make better decisions."
The Bengals finished what some would call below expectations finishing their season at 8-8. The team took a hit as suspensions depleted the team's ranks. Linebacker was suspended for the season by the league for a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy and wide receiver Chris Henry missed four games because of a league violation.
Henry pleaded guilty to charges that he gave alcohol to minors in Kenton County and drunk driving charges in Clermont County a week ago.
Another of Palmer's teammates, Deltha O'Neal, is scheduled to be in court today for a hearing stemming from drunk driving charges. O'Neal is reported to possibly plead guilty to lessen the possible penalties against him.
