I have two cores running now, the new GPU GUI and the normal 5.04 console. CPU usage is at 100% as expected, with the GPU getting more of the CPU time than the console.

There is a noticable jerkiness with Solitare, but no appreciable lag on surfing.

The X1650 AGP is much faster than the NVidia FX5900XT that I have used for a few years.

I also found the same X1650Pro 512 MB card that I bought for $206, for $159.99 after $70 Instant rebate at CompUSA. Looks like Best Buy owes me some cash.
