I just got an X1950pro.

If anyone has any tips for the GPU folding stuff, I would appreciate them. It was an adventure just fitting the thing into the case. The 400 watt PSU seems to be holding its own, but I've got a new 500 watt PSU waiting, unopened, if the 1950 needs the extra juice.

I downloaded the GPU client, but it seems to be finishing up the old Gromacs unit before it starts anything.

Only one GUI can run at a time. Go into the F@H configuration panel and click the "Ask before using Network" box. F@H will finish up the old WU before starting a new series.

Stanford does not like folks dropping WUs in midstream. It slows the progress of science since they have to wait as much as a month before that WU is assigned to someone else for completion.

If you want to test the new GPU GUI, right click on the tray flower and Quit the WU. Wait five minutes (allows all writes to complete) and click on the GPU GUI in the correct F@H directory. You should see the flower appear and begin processing.

If the work unit ends early then you have the wrong drivers. Uninstall the ATI 6.12 drivers and Catalyst 7.1, and reinstall just the 6.11 drivers. This should be all that is needed to get F@H running on a GPU.

Sometimes it can be more difficult, so keep us posted!
