*Sigh*. Same old, same old. In a free market, the best product wins. Besides, American companies sell and work on Linux (by paying developers to work on it). If you're so hung up on origins, Torvalds is from Finland originally (though he works and lives in the US now). Last I heard, we aren't being threatened by Finland. Ultimately, Linux isn't from anywhere in particular since you have people working on it all over the world.
