RE: Office is TOO robust for me. They could charge a lot less for a lot less product, please.
I have "Open Office" running on my laptop (and have not yet found a need to load MS Ofc to replace it.) It's free, or at minor cost if you want an installation CD. It seems to do the job for day-to-day tasks (and will read/write in msofc file formats if you need that... don't we all?) For five bucks or so for the CD, it's not a big risk to try... to see if it might do the trick for you.
