I like Ubuntu (free). Much easier to install that Windows. Tons of (free) applications.

I've been using various distros for about 5 years on a bunch of PC's and laptops.

Debian
SUSE9

Linspire
Ubuntu
Knoppix
MEPIS
Not once have I ever been able to crash em.

What did you do...beat it with your shoe or something?

Drive over it?
