Nah, WinME can run very nicely if tweaked right. 3 of our 4 boxes run it and BSODs are something we see a combined total of maybe 2, 3 times a year.

Only times WinME's ever given me real issues, it was always due to a hardware problem that later revealed itself...be it a failing hard drive, or a dying cpu fan causing minor overheating that got progressively worse, or iffy ram. Always worked right after the hardware issue was addressed, too.

One thing it does not tolerate as well as WXP is Certain users who load it up with tons of programs running. I always run everything lean and do not have trouble when I fire up the old clunker though.

You know the type....Eight browsers open, little antispyware things and cookie managers running in the background. Then they open up a hungry graphics program and the whole system goes down...
