"the French Open is a bogus grand slam event. It handicaps the slower, less agile players and brings them up a level"
Since you have no idea what you are talking about, I am not even going to take you seriously.
Nadal has dominated the French Open recently and beaten Federer everytime at the FO.
Now anyone who thinks Nadal (one of the toughest, fittest players on the ATP circuit) is a "slower, less agile" player either does not know Nadal, or is smoking crack.
Take your pick.
As to the French Open not being a "real slam", sounds like sour grapes to me. It's like "Hey, I can't in, and get clobbered every time at the French Open, so it's a bogus slam".
In reality, The French Open is every bit as much a grand slam as the US Open or Australian Open, and what you have here is a bogus argument.

Sorry you're so offended ShawTaylor. But Nadal isn't as fast or agile as Federer. On a slower surface, Federer's speed is taken away from him - and his shots aren't as fast either.
That's why players who don't hit as fast or as hard are put on the same level as other faster players. The clay minimizes and/or eliminates speed as a factor. It seems clear that you reject this obvious characteristic of clay. Fine, but you are then left to explain Federer's domination of Nadal (and everyone else) on fast surfaces. Go ahead - or are you smoking crack or do you not know Federer? I'm not even going to take you seriously until you can defend your preposterous assertions.
BTW, the tone of this post in to match your tone only. I don't really feel much at all about the issue - but I do find it amusing that you do. It's obvious that clay is sloooooow compared to other surfaces.
